SYNOPSIS OF MY LIFE AND SPIRITUAL JOURNEY…

Born in Lubbock, Texas, this “Journey” began with my father’s steady hand, no nonsense work ethic, and an individual common sense philosophy that continues to this day to inspire and empower me. By instruction and example he instilled a strong moral code and sound value system. He taught me humility in my personal beliefs, and to be thankful and appreciative for this great country. My very caring and loving father earned my undying respect.

I also received inspiration and guidance from seven very caring, intelligent, understanding metaphysical mentors. The first of these was my Godmother, Jackie, who seldom missed morning Mass. Roy, her husband, was my father’s second cousin.

After Jackie was asked to be the Godmother for the baby my mother was carrying and before I was born, she wrote in her diary “I feel in this life I will not have any children of my own and so Jessie has no idea what her request means to me. I love Jessie and Gilbert, so if Jessie gives birth to a girl, I will name the baby Trinity (the baby will make three) and if it is a boy, David."

Thus, at her behest I was christened Trinity-Phyllis and was known by Phyllis until Jackie’s passing in 1979. I chose to honor her memory by becoming Trinity at that time.

The U.S.O. in San Diego became, after turning six, a second home. I entertained the “troops” sometimes on carriers alongside “Mr. Hope” with singing, tap dancing, and later, I added an acrobatic-baton routine. In the Navy Hospital in Balboa Park, I tapped, did acrobatics and sat on the beds of these wonderful boys singing, I hope, some of their favorite songs.

It was during one of those visits to the San Diego Naval Hospital , as the group with our chaperone was on one of the huge back elevators that a young man on a gurney, his operation had been for a head wound, was wheeled in beside us. My introduction to the words “The show must go on” came after seeing his stitches come open.

Never shy, I would start singing and ask those on the train, mostly service men to join in as the U.S.O. troupe would be traveling to distant cities or with my mother on our way to Texas during the black outs.

An unexpected influence in my life came from my fourth grade Methodist Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Homes encouraged our class to read and interpret for ourselves the Bible verses in our weekly lessons. This freedom to question and explore was both empowering and humbling as we were encouraged to look beyond the allegories and sermonizing. This wonderful teacher furthered the foundation for my spiritual quest. Truly, Mrs. Homes was a blessing in my life.

During my grammar school years, we moved to El Cajon, a suburb of San Diego, California. While there, I began to model and appeared in parades performing acrobatics while twirling a baton. In the sixth grade, I sang and appeared in “Alice in Wonderland,” the first, as it turned out, of many stage productions.

In my eighth year, after we moved to La Mesa another suburb of San Diego, my internal guidance began to make its self known. I was shown in a dream how to ride my new bicycle.

Persistent, my sensitive intuitive self kicked in again in my ninth year! Trusting, I revealed to my Godmother Jackie an innate understanding of human psychology concerning my mother: “I know there"s something wrong with Mother, I don’t know what it is but it's ok!” Jackie was heartened and understood my dilemma, as did others on my father’s side of the family.

However, never accepted by my mother’s relatives, even many years later when she finally was diagnosed as bipolar, was the fact that my mothers’ erratic and sometimes violent behavior, especially towards me and my brother, was the result of something beyond her control.

Attendance at the Methodist Church in La Mesa, for each service was 150 or more and by the seventh grade, I was allowed to sing with the adult choir. However, by my junior year when it was impossible because of other engagements to be there on Sundays (I was singing on channel 6 and most Sundays on channel 8 for a local religious TV program), I received from the Minister of Music what was for me a very special postal card. It read: “Phyllis your voice is truly missed and we hope you will return soon.” It touched my heart and as you can see I never forgot.

Through my late teens, the U.S.O. continued to play an important part in my life. I attended the same high school with ‘Star’, Dennis Hopper and we teamed our talents for the U.S.O, as well as performing in various other venues that included the Navy Hospital in Balboa Park and the Army - Navy YMCA. Valerie, our accompanist, was a talented fellow high school student for many of these performances. She later became a much respected practice pianist (no small feat) for local and visiting operatic stars.

Vivian Vance from “I Love Lucy” show was the Hollywood guest at the Spreckles Theater for the High Debber Tenth Anniversary Celebration. Representing my high school, I was selected from the High Debber Counsel to sing Happy Birthday during that function. Subsequently, I was afforded the opportunity and tested in the Culver City Studios for the "I Love Lucy" show. Through thoughtful parental intervention, the offer was declined.

I sang with Don Schields' local band. We performed most Wednesday evenings for the Enlisted Men's Club and most Saturday evenings for the Officers Club. Additionally, I sang with the high school band and during my junior year, I was honored by the 72 voice high school choir (Dennis was one of those voices) that voted overwhelmingly for me to play the lead in the production of Victor Herbert’s musical “The Fortune Teller.”

At the end of that school year, an unexpected honor was made known during a choir awards dinner. As the result of a solo adjudication, earlier in the year it was announced I had received a scholarship invitation from College of the Pacific to participate in their summer music program.

Later, while I played the lead in the musical production of “Babes in Toy Land” in Ford Bowl, Dennis was playing a superb role, across the way, in an Old Globe Theater Production and was seen by a Hollywood Scout. And as they say, the rest is history.

Musical theater became my forte and I was fortunate to have many leading roles in that genre. I had great respect for those who worked behind the scenes and after a few turns in the road I became one of them.

Also, a fellow student Bob Turnbull, after some persuasion from Dennis was in some epic motion pictures and television. In later years, Bob was named by the then governor John Burns of Hawaii as “Chaplin of Waikiki Beach.” Bob and his wife continue in their "Turnbull Christian Ministries.

And so it was, from yachts to jet-set parties in various San Diego resorts, to religious institutions and Interdenominational Church Venues, performances gave me the opportunity for contact with many diverse persuasions and contributed greatly to an understanding of and tolerance for all religious factions, and philosophies.

As I encountered these different persuasions, I learned to appreciate even more Jackie’s thoughtful teaching that gave me awareness and insight into the rich diversity of metaphysics.

For a time I considered becoming a Physical Education teacher. The love of sports continues…

While attending Chapman, a Christian College, now Chapman University, I studied among other things, Music, Comparative Religions, Related Philosophies, and Astronomy.

The husband and wife professor team that taught Astronomy had many novel conceptions and the spirited class debates contributed greatly to my re-awakening metaphysical process.

One question I’ll never forget from the professors: “How would you feel if you saw Hitler in Heaven?” One statement I’ll never forget… “The Jesus scenario has taken place before and somewhere right now it continues!” Also in that class, I was introduced to Quantum Physics and other Dimensions. My personal take on Quantum Physics: “I’m everything and nothing; objectively measurable yet illimitable.

It was an honor to have the lead of Eurydice in Offenbach’s “Orpheus in the Underworld,” the first musical production presented at the college.

Spirit spoke “Common Sense is the Godchild of Wisdom.”

Thinking of those words it occurred to me and it would stand to reason would it not that Musical Theater then must be the God child of Grand Opera.

After my ingénue days were over, one can find me in cast pictures around the Hollywood area.

One in particular was the stage production of Oklahoma at Santa Monica College in the mid seventy’s. The director expanded the role of the Gipsy just for me. It was reminiscent of the lead I played years earlier, in the production of Victor Herbert’s “The Fortune Teller.”

My Spiritual Awakening Continued in Rev. Dr. Steven Paul Douglas’s Christian Church of Metaphysics in Long Beach, California.

During these amazing four years of intense study, I was privileged to be the soloist at the Sunday evening services during which Dr. Douglas brought through his physical instrument the Biblical “Old Prophet” Joshua, who then gave the sermon. I retain the tapes of many of these services.

Soon, I learned of a class that Dr. Douglas held twice a month in the upper room over the Sanctuary. I wanted very much to be one of those individuals. However, I was told that only persons that Dr. Douglas asked personally could attend and that he only allowed a certain number in the class. So I waited.

After about three months the invitation was extended. The group, although I never counted, consisted of at least thirty persons in a circle wherein we sat in total darkness. Truly, I could not see my hand in front of my face.

At this juncture an insatiable ‘Thirst’ to read, study and understand the ever present wisdom of the Sacred Sciences and other Occult mysteries dominated my free time, accelerating with lighting speed my individual progress, intuitive awareness, and latent gifts.

Third Eye meditations brought the trusted voices, and my self-confidence grew. Through these studies, I learned perseverance, that to “Know thy Self” is a continuing reality and to trust implicitly the Conscious Divine Presence within.

Dr. Douglas started each session by allowing entities to speak to us from the other side. These entities that came into and through Dr. Douglas’ body created a substance called Protoplasm.

Yes, we learned his body was used differently in this setting than when Joshua was using his instrument for the evening sermons. An entity regular called Pansy was very whimsical and funny yet always brought a thoughtful message.

After three or four entities, some who came through had special messages for those in attendance. Dr. Douglas who sat in a corner of the room with a pin light would announce to the class the name and location of persons we were to visualize. We were then to state openly any impressions received.

From my very first attempt, and continuing thereafter, I was able to internalize, integrate, and process accurately information about individuals ill or in trouble across the country. The accepted diagnosis was verified and noted by Dr. Douglas after each of these evening sessions.

I was in disbelief and awe, and with more than a little trepidation after learning this was indicative of one who is Clairvoyant and Clairaudient. A year or so after that revelation, I received an unexpected phone inquiry from a prominent church member. He became the vehicle for another special gift to surface: Therein, the ability to understand and interpret symbols for Dream Analysis was realized.

I will never forget one very special evening, that came close to the end of these extraordinary classes. Through Dr. Douglas there came an entity who called himself an old miner. He expressed to the class he wanted to reward us as we were individually exceptional and very spiritually focused.

We immediately felt falling from the ceiling, we knew not what. When class was over and the lights were turned on we found beside them and on the floor very small amethyst gems. I took three home…one remains.

The second stage of my deepening spiritual journey brought me to ‘Astara’ a metaphysical church in the city of Upland, California, for four years. Here, and this time not so far from my home, I became a student and guest soloist twice a month in the morning church service.

In the old tradition, ‘Astara’ was a Mystery School of initiation influenced by teh Spiritual Hierarchy.

Studying more of the Mantic Arts (Occult/Secret) was amazing and included: Numerology, some Astrology, Tarot, Symbols, Color, Palmistry, Psychometry and Parapsychology. Parapsychology, the organized scientific investigation of paranormal phenomena, began in 1882 with the foundation of the Society for Psychical Research in London.

For three successive years, after the Astara services, I traveled to San Bernardino, California, where I studied in the Native American tradition with Red Eagle an Apache Medicine Man.

On my third visit to Red Eagle, I took with me a special young friend Gail Gregory. Gail had been raised within the metaphysical realm and so was drawn to Astara. It was through Astara than that this special friendship developed and continues. She was in the congregation for my Ordination.

From the Emperor's College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California, Gail graduated with a degree in Acupuncture. Using HomeoEnergetics, herbs, homeopathy nutrition, and lifestyle counseling she has become a respected, successful and beloved healer. I would encourage a visit to her web site: http://gailgregory.com/

When Red Eagle returned he was carrying a large black bag. It was his medicine bag. He motioned me to come across the room and sit beside his chair.

He then instructed me to open the medicine bag, take out its sacred objects, and tell him their names and for what purpose they were used. In the millisecond it took me to wonder how I was going to do this, the words and explanation for each item was flying from my lips!

I was in awe and looked at him with unbelievable eyes. He spoke with a question. “Trinity who are you?” My intuition and vision from a previous life was now very strong. With tears in my eyes, I answered. “I’m your special granddaughter and the only one you allow to touch the sacred objects.”

Red Eagle then presented me with a Navajo Weaver doll. The inscription on the underside reads: To Trinity…Love, Grandfather Apache.

During my last year at Astara, and after a meditation class, I was impressed to write the following:

THE FIRST PRIMORDIAL HUMAN SOUND WAS THE BREATH OF LIFE.

Numbers Are Pure Vibrations. They Relate to The Corner Stone And Foundation of Matter And To The Rhythm Of Our Breath.

Conversely, each time we enter this three dimensional school room, Universal Letters form the codes and formulas for Experiencing Matter.

In studying the Foundation of Numbers and Letters, we learn that they light our path to begin each new journey, to earn our Degrees, and to build our “kingdom.” They allow Knowledge to become Wisdom. Anyone of these without the other SUSPENDS ENLIGHTENMENT.

We first see and experience matter in the grandeur of Magnificent Color as presented through Mother Nature.

Our individual Soul Blueprint when we choose to manifest into form continues to carry, contain, and unite unique multi-layered Calibrated Vibrations that include Codes for Sound and Color.

This blending of matter (Sound) I hear as an unresolved discordant tone waiting, Waiting, WAITING to be resolved as it was being brought to the earth plain.

The blending of matter (Sound) with Color (Experience) became the "Music of teh spheres" which created vivid imagination and visualizations. Thogether they created a Harmonic Composition: Let's call it a Symphonic Rhapsody.

Now, Color weaves a rainbow of colors in around and through the Symphonic Rhapsody which becomes a Magnificent Living Rhapsody Alive in Color as the Symphonic Rhapsody in Sound Continues.

Heard or felt the following? “I see red!” or I feel blue?” Color on the inner plain of Consciousness becomes visible through Sound. Therein, Evolved Emotion (Red) will give way to caring feelings and balanced understanding (Rose and Green). Reason within the intellect (yellow) Overcomes Raw Emotion when it manifests itself as Enlightened Compassion (Pink and Rose) in all ways for self and others.

My re-awaking and learning experiences with Dr. Douglas’ classes and other profound studies at Astara gave me the confidence to begin Spiritual Readings or Channeling. Not long after, I also began to teach Metaphysical courses.

I sometimes see colors around individuals called Auras. For the most part, I sense these colors in the same way I sense unseen Entities, Masters or Angels during spiritual sessions. Additionally, I may use Body Scanning/Pathogens and or Kinesiology to evaluate Chakras that need nurturing or fine tuning.

Continuing my spiritual quest I undertook four years of intense studies within a private Metaphysical Seminary.

It was here that I met the last and most brilliant of my mentors, Dr. Christopher Phelan, who was President of the seminary. Dr. Phelan was a 100% Irish Jesuit-educated priest and he was among twelve other spiritual professors from diverse vocations who taught courses.

With Christopher’s encouragement, another intuitive gift was awakened as I rediscovered my connection with the Bible. From an early age, I seemed to possess an extensive knowledge of the Bible that could not be explained rationally until one day between classes the answer was provided.

Sitting in the garden, within the walls of the Old Catholic nun’s facility, I had a vision. In the vision, I became aware of myself as a hooded scribe/priest rewriting the Bible in the time of King James. I heard the King command that, “We should write neither to the extreme left nor right,” as he did not want a warring religious revolution on his hands.

Therein, innate knowledge and understanding combined with the above studies have given me unique insights into "Ancient Wisdom." It was during this time also that a prediction made so many years before by Dr. Douglas came true…I began writing.

I Earned on April 26, 1987 a Doctor of Divinity Degree.

Serving as a Non-Denominational Minister, Spiritual Psychologist/Counselor, Instructor and Lecturer these many years have been very rewarding. Yes, “Very rewarding, as many of my students and clients even now stay in touch.”
MINISTERIAL DUTIES INCLUDE ALL SACRAMENTAL CEREMONIES.

Now if all this wasn’t enough, my husband Andy, who was a criminal attorney, asked me to check out classes to become a handwriting expert for court. I lacked three months of instruction and tests to that end when…

On October 13, 1992 after twenty-five years of marriage, Andy suffered his second heart attack and made his transition. Needless to say, I lost interest in pursuing my graphology diploma. Nevertheless, I am very astute at handwriting analysis and use it frequently in my practice.

My Spiritual, Lay, and Philosophical studies have now covered a span of some fifty years.

Christopher was the officiating minister for my late husband’s memorial service and it was he who 3½ years later married my husband Paul and me.

The Symbol for Change is a Bridge. Construct and apply to your new bridge of change levels of Humility, Perception, Imagination and Vision as they dwell within the deepening awareness, trust and attunement on the path to refinement.

As we view our individual universe, Change opens the door of possibilities. Looking at our world, Change expands our mind and consciousness to see and view far beyond this universe into the cosmos.

THE FORCE

Our universe is just a stepping-stone
Of unknown worlds to conquer.
The battles that we face
Just a corridor through time and space.

Soaring, darting here then there
Light patterns quite in evidence
And we see beyond -

So tuned into this energy unequaled
Far away and long ago--
Waiting to be tapped
Each one who wills it so:

GO WITH THE FORCE

Uncharted starry skies
And unknowns, there surely are no limits.

Yet undaunted are we as leaders,
The struggles with fears of all kinds,
Especially of foes, we left behind.

Suddenly a jolt of mind,
And we focus on awareness,
Sending each to his own inner self, -

There to sit, listen, and see clearly
The direction we must go.
Surely, some will see
A new horizon is theirs to follow:

THE FORCE AND WE ARE ONE
